What happens at a session.
We meet outdoors for tea and silent meditation. The usual format is three twenty-minute sits, with tea before, after, or between rounds.
Sometimes we include a short conversation about practice in everyday life. The group is peer-led. There is no formal teacher and no requirement to follow a particular tradition.
The atmosphere is simple, quiet, and practice-oriented. People sit on cushions, mats, blankets, or whatever they have brought. Phones stay quiet. Conversation is welcome after the bell, not during.
A typical afternoon: arrive 13:00, settle, first sit at 13:15. Three sits with tea between. We close around 15:00.
Who it’s for.
This group is for people who want to practice meditation sincerely with others. You do not need to be Buddhist or experienced, but you should be comfortable with silence, stillness, and a simple practice container.
The group may be especially interesting to people drawn to pragmatic dharma, Theravāda, Thai Forest practice, insight meditation, concentration practice, or direct investigation of experience.
It will probably feel like a poor fit if you are looking for guided relaxation, a wellness class, a social meetup, or a teacher-led path.
Tea gives the gathering a simple beginning and ending. Not a ceremony — just a way to arrive, settle, and spend a little time together.”
Usually Chinese tea brewed in a small clay pot or gaiwan. Bring your own cup if you have one.

We sit on the ground in a Berlin park. Bring something to sit on and warm clothes — the weather decides the rest.
